The deadline for sign-ins to the 31st Palermo Ladies Open, the first tournament in the world following the COVID-19 suspension, has been set to next Monday, July 13. The WTA decided to concede one more week for players to decide whether they’ll take part in the tournament organised by Palermo’s Country Time Club. In sum, both Main Draw and Qualifiers sign-ins will close on the 13th of July.
The 31st Palermo Ladies Open, having a prize money of $225,500, will begin on August 1 with the qualification round, while the matches from the Main Draw will start on Monday, August 3, culminating with the final on the 9th of August. The Main Draw will consist of 32 players (4 coming from the Qualifiers and 4 with a Wild Card), whereas the Doubles tournament will have 16 participating couples (2 WC).
